We invite you to an in-person workshop in Corsican polyphony with the School of Cantors on Saturday, 16 March 2019.
It will be led by Jean-Étienne Langianni – a self-taught musician, singer and composer. He is a permanent member of the ensembles Tavagna (since 1981), Ensemble Organum (since 1993) and Seraphica, which he founded in 2007. In his artistic work he preserves and popularizes the musical traditions of Corsica.
For years he has worked with Marcel Pérès.
Under Jean-Étienne Langianni’s guidance we will learn pieces by the author himself as well as arrangements of Gregorian chant in the so-called Corsican style.
