See what we have prepared for you for autumn evenings as part of the Mysterium Fascinans book series. The best recommendation will probably be the names of the authors: Romano Guardini and Fr. Maciej Zachara MIC.

What is in the liturgical attitude, what prays, offers and acts, is not soul, not inside, but man. The whole man is the carrier of liturgical action, writes with conviction one of the fathers of the Liturgical Movement, Romano Guardini. We have just published his book “Liturgia and liturgical formation” for the first time in Poland in the Mysterium Fascinans series. However, do we have an authentic experience of being “whole man” today? Guardini shows in an extremely fresh way how, in times of intense search for identity, we can rediscover lost harmony in the liturgy: body and soul, individual and community, creating and accepting the gift of what is created.

“God, you show your omnipotence to the fullest through forgiveness and mercy, give us your grace constantly, so that, striving for the heaven promised to us, we become participants in eternal happiness.” This is the Collect for the 26th Sunday of Ordinary Time, which has been present in the Roman liturgy continuously since the 7th century. What can be read from such a concise prayer? The book published by Fr. Maciej Zachary, MIC “Prayers of the Church. Collects of Sundays and Feasts of the Lord” proves that a lot. The author not only briefly outlines the history of each collection, but above all explains the theological images present in them and shows how to make good use of the potential of this element of the Eucharistic liturgy.

Both newly published books are now available in our online store  (recipients of our newsletter received a special code in the e-mail rebate) and stationary, in the store at Stolarska 12 in Krakow and in many bookstores throughout Poland. We encourage you to read!
