On Friday, November 4, at 20:15 we want to invite you to pray together for our brothers and sisters (and parents, grandparents, friends …), who “left with a sign of faith and sleep in peace” and for all the dead whose faith was known only to the Merciful God.
“Credo quod Redemptor meus vivit” (I believe that my Savior lives), “Qui Lazarum resuscitasti a monumento, Tu eis, Domine, dona requiem et locum indulgentiae” (You who raised Lazarus from the grave, Lord, give them rest and a place grace)… The singing of these and many other prayers for the dead resounded for centuries in the Dominican cloisters – the burial place of thousands of brothers and lay benefactors of the monastery – sung by the current inhabitants of the Holy Trinity convent in the days following the memory of All the Faithful Departed.
This year we will gather in the cloisters to, in accordance with the old tradition of the Dominican friars, go in procession from station to station, listening to the words of the Gospel and singing, asking for God’s mercy and joy of heaven for the dead, not only those resting in the cloisters in Krakow, but everyone, and especially those whose memory we carry in our hearts.
The event will not be broadcast. On the Liturgia.pl channel you can watch the recording of the service for the dead, which the Dominican friars celebrated in the Krakow cloisters in November 2020:

A little earlier, on Monday evening, we also invite you to the Gregorian vigil of All Saints’ Day. Joint prayer with our choir group Vigilantes will start at 20:00 in the church of St. Idzi at the foot of Wawel, texts will be prepared for the participants.
